Summer is bright and cool mornings and peaceful
walks along the river to the music of Bluebirds and Meadowlarks. It's a
time of rodeos, barbecues and coming off the river at dark to a ten o'clock
dinner. Leisurely hikes into the Montana foothills and wilderness, bicycle
tours, and canoe trips complement the absolutely world class fishing at nearby
spring creeks, lakes, and rivers.
Fall brings the changing of colors to the Paradise Valley
and a distinctive nip in the morning air. The river is flowing slower now,
and birds lounge in the lazy warm afternoons along bunch grass-covered banks
and high in the safety of the pines. Thoughts turn to stalking wild elk and
deer, and to some of the finest bird and duck hunting in the world. It's
a slower more relaxed feeling at Querencia especially when you take time
to refresh and renew with us.
Winter brings spectacular scenery and quiet solitude
on the Yellowstone. Watch Bald Eagles soar across Montana skies while floating
the Yellowstone River. Large numbers of Eagles are visible from Querencia
November through March. Cross-country ski nearby wilderness trails or watch
for wolves and wildlife in Yellowstone Park. Big Sky Resort and Bridger
Bowl offer downhill skiing for everyone just a short drive away.
In Spring "the earth is reborn". This
spectacular symphony of wildlife and land can be truly enjoyed when it is
shared with family and friends at Querencia. Snow is slowly melting on a
thousand surrounding peaks, the river awakens to the spawning run of Rainbow
Trout and emergence of a plethora of harmless, but plentiful, insect species
that comprise the trout's diet. The spring sun is getting warmer now, and
the green carpeted valley whispers "good morning" again. Wake
to a sumptuous breakfast and a cup of freshly ground gourmet coffee and
plan your day. You only need to step out on your private deck at Querencia to
understand why this is truly "the last best place". |
